H&S Notice

In view of the Coronavirus you will be aware that the government has been issuing guidance to organisations in relation to this and to prevent the spread of the virus.

Although the government believes that most people will only have a mild illness, some older people or people with pre-existing health conditions may experience severe illness and our main concern is for the well-being of our members, staff and visitors.

Following recent government guidelines, there are some simple and effective actions everyone should be taking to protect themselves and their wider community.

• Please do not visit the golf club or clubhouse if you have symptoms of a respiratory infection (e.g. new cough, sore throat or fever).
• Wash your hands with soap and water often - we kindly request you do this when entering the clubhouse
• Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
• Put used tissues in a bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
• Refrain from shaking hands

In addition, the cleaning staff and clubhouse team have been asked to increase their attention on disinfecting key areas.

All staff members have been asked to be extra vigilant with hand washing.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation on all of the above matters and we assure you that we will continue to monitor the situation and update members as required.

Play Safe Stay Safe

Dear Member

Further to the announcement last night by the Prime Minister we will open the course for play on Wednesday 13th May.

The booking system on V1 is to be set up initially as below:

Wed 13th - Fri 15th 08:00 to 19:00
Sat 16th – Sun 17th 07:00 to 19:00
Mon 18th - Tues 19th 06:00 to 19:00
Times will be set at 8-minute intervals. All golf must start from the 10th hole.

We will release additional days as we progress.
The V1 system is configured to two balls.

Due to the restrictions in place, the bookings are for members only and we are unable to accept bookings from non members at the moment.

Members can book a space for themselves and if desired a playing partner or leave the second space free for someone to add their name.
Rather than apply the ‘blocking’ of bookings it is intended initially to request that members book no more than 3 games within a 7-day period.

If the members are mindful of others, then hopefully this will be a more straightforward method of giving access to all to the course.

Should this not prove successful or is abused then we will have to implement the ‘blocking’ system.

Please comply with all other previous instructions and enjoy your golf safely.

Kind regards
Director & GM
